Dear Laura's Mom and family,
My name is Mary Stone, i'm a missionary with TEAM in Chad, Africa (since 1993). I came home on my first furlough and was looking for a doctor that could understand tropical illnesses. I found Laura's name and that she had been in French, Africa and went to her for my physicals most furloughs since then.
During the first physical we began to talk and prayed together afterwards and that began our friendship.
I loved and respected your daughter, especially her love for our Lord, and her family. I also appreciated her service to those that suffered and the poor. I was looking forward to seeing Laura soon.
I went in this week for a physical and my new doctor said that Laura had died this week and her sister just the week before.
The little time i had with Laura was always a blessing, sharing a meal and prayer times. i already feel a deep grief at losing her this side of heaven.
My deep compassion, gratitude and condolences to you as a family as you traverse this desert period both for Laura and her sister.
May our loving, compassionate Father hold each of you to His heart and comfort you in this double grief.
Peace be unto each of you,
TEAM, Chad, Africa
