Mabel “Arlene” Isom
September 29, 1922 - December 30, 2019

Mabel "Arlene" Isom passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord on December 30, 2019, with loved ones by her side.

She was born to Earl and Evelyn (Hotchkiss) McKeehan on September 29, 1922, joining her older brother Everett. She lived the majority of her life in Brownsville and the last few years of her life in Albany.

She married Thomas Porter Isom on August 4th, 1940. They were married 66 years when Tom passed away in 2007. They had 2 sons, Ronald and Roger.

Arlene's most prized possessions were her children and grandchildren. She is fondly remembered by many as being the grandma whose house you went to when you were hungry. One of her greatest joys was to prepare food for all those who came to visit her. Arlene also loved to hunt. She was so excited when she got her first deer.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and brother. She is survived by her sons, Ronald and Roger; Roger's spouse, Judy (who Arlene said was "the daughter I never had"); 2 grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Monica Isom and Darin and Missy Beachy; 5 great-grandchildren; Mikayla, Courtney, and Hailey Isom; and Tyler and Alli Beachy.

A public graveside service will be held Monday, January 6th, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Brownsville Pioneer Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be left online at
