March 31, 1943 - April 9, 2018

Edie (Dee) was born March 31, 1943 in Praise, Kentucky to Frank Wallace Jr., and Eula Mae Bartley. Edie married Quentin “Moore” in 1959 in Port Orford, Oregon. They had three children, Darrel, Brenda and Tim. The Moore family moved to Gold Beach, Oregon and then to the Willamette Valley where Edie has lived for the past many (50 + off and on) years where she has made many friends, who have become her family.

Edie is preceded in her death by her father, Frank, stepfather, Earl (Davids), mother, “Mae”, and her husband Quentin. Edie is survived by her three children, Darrel and daughter in-law Greta, Brenda and son in-law Corby, and Tim and daughter in-law Lisa; two sisters, Lois and Shirley; two grandchildren, Tailynn and partner Josh, and Gary; 5 great grandchildren, Carmella, Mica, Blaine, Aliyaah, and Sky; niece - like daughter, Gwenna; five nephews, Dan, Troy, Raymond, Jim and John; the many Moore family members; and her best friend and like daughter, Tonee Nolan.

Edie worked in many professions, including as a waitress and bar tender in various establishments in Albany over the past many years, including the T & R Truck Stop, the Plantation Inn, Tom Tom’s, Pops Branding Iron, Shirley Mays Café, Eagles, Fireside in Roseburg Oregon, Country Club in Sutherlin, Oregon - as well as in Corvallis; a millworker at Gold Beach Plywood Mill in Gold Beach Oregon; and a caregiver for the State of Oregon.

Edie loved her children with all her heart, and loved her grandchildren, her niece and nephews like they her own children. She enjoyed music, gardening, fishing, drinking margaritas and dancing into the night, and her loving friends and neighbors.

We hope that [Mom and Aunt] Edie (Dee) finds peace and joy on her next journey.

Edie’s laughter and joy will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Bryant Park, the second shelter by the river.
