Nema Geneva (Laxton) Rose, age 87, of Halsey, Oregon, passed away on February 24th, 2018 at the Mennonite Home in Albany Oregon.

Nema was born on May 30th, 1930, in Golden, Oklahoma to James and Lillie Laxton. She grew up in Mt. Herman, Oklahoma one of seven children. Nema left Oklahoma as a young woman and moved to Oregon where she married Lawrence “Red” Rose. They were blessed with three children. Nema loved her family and was always there to help anyone who needed her. She always looked forward to the family’s annual trip to Lincoln City and her trips back to Oklahoma to visit her family there. Nema was a member of the Central Valley Church in Halsey, Oregon.

Nema was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband and her son, Gary Rose; as well as sisters, Christine Milson, Louise Baker and brothers, Dearl Laxton and Kenneth Laxton.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Beverly Robinson and Charlotte Collins; Daughter-in Law, Lori Rose; grandchildren, Katie (Randy) McMillen, Jason (Misty) Rose and Travis (Kelly) Robinson; great grandchildren Kylee, Tyler, Fiona, Jack, Kaylee, and Roxanne. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia Pedrola; brother, Donald Laxton and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Fisher Funeral Home in Albany, Oregon. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Halsey, Oregon with the Pastor Eric Harless officiating. Guests are invited to join the family after the services for refreshments at the Central Valley Church at 657 American Drive, Halsey Oregon.
