Ronald Edward Scurlock 58, from Redmond Oregon was the victim of a fuel tanker truck accident on December 15th 2017, 7 miles East of Idanha, Oregon at approximately 11:00PM Friday night.

He was born to Roy A. Scurlock and Greta Farlow Dean August 1st, 1959 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene, Oregon. Ron was married to Tina Akin for 23 years. They had two beautiful children together, Amy Lynn and Ronald Daniel Scurlock.

Ron grew up in Redmond, Oregon and spent most of his adult life in Central Oregon. He had an infectious sense of humor and a big heart. He was a hard working man who spent his days trying to make his life better for himself and his family. He worked many years in the mill and spent the last 20 years driving semi trucks for a few different companies. When he wasn't working, he spent his time hunting, fishing and crabbing. Ron loved his hunting partners and friends dearly; Steven and Michelle Charlton, Jack, Wendy, and the rest of the Gray family, and many more. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed participating in and watching sporting events of all kind. He was an avid Raiders, Braves, Blazers and Duck's fan. Ron won the city bowling championship in 88' with his right hand and then came back two years later and won it again left-handed after he lost part of his fingers in a mill accident. He loved playing the game of fast pitch softball and often told stories of the wonderful times he had on the field. He was a fantastic grandpa, who loved his grandchildren very much. He has joined his step-mother Lou Scurlock and step-father Delbert Dean on the dance floor.

He is survived by his daughter Amy Scurlock, son Ronald Daniel Scurlock, grandchildren, Kyley Keller, Olyvia Keller, and Maliah Scurlock; his parents Roy A. Scurlock and Greta Dean, brothers' Rick and Roy Jr. Scurlock, sisters' Sharon Brayton and Joanne Nance, and step-brother Danny Dean of Redmond and step sister Debbie Hager of Tygh Valley.
