Glenn Mervyn Cochran
Glenn Cochran, 99, of Salem and formerly of Echo, Oregon died Friday in Salem. Born in Lewvan, Saskatchewan to Clarence and Lavina (Erickson) Cochran, Glenn moved to Lock Ridge, Iowa in 1921 and graduated from high school there. He came to Oregon in 1937. Glenn was drafted into the US Army and served in WWII in the European Theatre. Upon his discharge Glenn returned to Jefferson and purchased his father's Texaco station.

Glenn married Shirley Roland on May 25th, 1950 in Washington. Shirley passed away in 2016.
Glenn, Shirley and their family moved to Echo where he was a school bus driver and school custodian for over 25 years. He loved and raised horses most of his life, as well as farming, and bowled well into his 80's in the VFW bowling league. He was an honest and gentle man who loved a good joke. While in Echo Glenn was a member of the VFW.

Survivors include his son Gary (Karen) of Arkansas; granddaughters Kelly and Ashley; and grandson Todd. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley and step son Montie Thompson. The family would like to thank Felicity Haven for their care of Glenn.

A graveside service will be at 11am Friday at the Jefferson Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Jefferson Methodist Church or the Hermiston VFW in care of Fisher Funeral Home, 306 SW Washington St., Albany, OR 97321.
