James (Jim) Wagar was born July 6th, 1939 to Roy and Gladys (Taylor) Wagar. On May 12, 2017 Jim passed away at his home. Jim was the oldest of 8 children. While growing up Jim and his family lived in many different places in Idaho. Some of his early years were spent in Kellogg, ID where his dad Roy worked in the mines.

On September 15, 1960, he married Sheila Thomas. Jim and Sheila had three children Cheryl, Johnny, and Robert. They had lived in Lewiston, ID, Seattle, WA where Jim worked for Boeing as a painter, they then moved to Lebanon, OR. James and Sheila divorced and James several years later Jim married Marilou Carrick. Joining them were Marilou's children Kathryn, Harold, and Royden.

Jim's hobbies were hunting with his son Bob and his children. Jim was a great fisherman, he enjoyed his time fishing with his brother Larry and several close friends Hollis Bandy and Jeremy Morgan. Jim also was known to go to his brother Gary and his wife Rita's to play pinochle with his family.

Jim is survived by his daughter Cheryl Merrill and her husband John Potlatch ID, his son Bob and his wife Roxanne of Rockaway Beach OR, Harold Carrick and his wife Katya Albany OR. Brothers Larry and wife Judy Albany OR, Gary and his wife Rita, Lebanon OR, his sisters Sharon Hunt and husband Bob, Linda Owens and her husband Duane both from Onaway, ID. Grandchildren Edward Merrill, Melissa Moore, Kevin Wagar, Jennifer Wagar, Valarie Masson, and Natsha Kinsella, Emily Carrick, Alex Carrick. Jim also leaves behind 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his son Johnny as a toddler, his Parents Roy and Gladys Wagar, brother Dale, sisters Janice Teichmer, Judy Libey, also both of his wives Sheila Flowers and Marilou Carrick.

Upon Jim's request there will be no memorial service.
